1) Read through your one-pager about each Enlightenment Philosopher then answer the questions on the backside of each page. Then watch the video individually with headphones to get a better understanding.
2)Then create a one-page mini poster of your philosopher. This can be done on Paper, Canva, or Google Slides.
One-Pager Instructions
Objective:
Create a visually appealing and informative one-pager that summarizes the ideas of Thomas Hobbes, John Locke, and Jean-Jacques Rousseau. This activity will help you connect their key ideas to broader themes in political philosophy and government.

Requirements for Your One-Pager
Your one-pager must include:
1. Central Ideas (Text)
For each thinker, include the following:
Name of the Thinker
Main Idea(s): Summarize their key contributions to political thought in 2-3 sentences.
Core Concept or Quote: Include one notable concept or quote from each thinker that represents their beliefs.
2. Visual Elements
Symbols or Images: Draw or include symbols, drawings, or icons that represent the ideas of Hobbes, Locke, and Rousseau.
Example: A crown for Hobbes, a lock/key for Locke, or a handshake for Rousseau.
Colors: Use colors strategically to emphasize important ideas or themes.
3. Connections to Today
Include one example (for each thinker) of how their ideas influence governments or society today.
Example: Hobbes and the role of government in maintaining order, Locke’s ideas on natural rights in modern democracies, Rousseau’s emphasis on social contracts in modern constitutions.
4. Creative Layout
Organize your one-pager in a way that stands out. Consider dividing it into sections for each thinker or blending their ideas into a cohesive design.

You will be graded on:
Content Accuracy (30 points): Clear and accurate representation of each thinker’s ideas.
Visual Creativity (20 points): Effective and creative use of visuals and layout.
Connections to Today (20 points): Thoughtful and relevant examples connecting the thinkers to modern society.
Clarity & Organization (20 points): Logical and easy-to-follow structure.
Effort & Engagement (10 points): Evidence of care and thought in your work.
